Remote Staff Augmentation From Bangladesh for Your Team

QUICK OVERVIEW
Remote staff augmentation is the HRBD service that adds role-specific remote staff in Bangladesh to your existing team for a defined term. HRBD recruits against your brief, holds the employment contract, runs monthly payroll and files the statutory records. Your managers direct the daily work from day one. The engagement covers administrative, finance and back-office roles.
What happens after you enquire: HRBD holds a scoping call with your hiring manager. The call fixes the role, the reporting line, the working hours in your time zone and the engagement term.
What HRBD carries: the appointment letter, the monthly payroll, tax deducted at source and the statutory registers for each augmented employee.
What stays with you: the daily instructions, the priorities, the tools and the performance review of every augmented staff member.

Role-by-Role Remote Staff Employed by HRBD

Your team grows one role at a time while HRBD stays the employer of record for each person. The service has three boundaries. Each engagement covers a named role, not a whole department. Each engagement runs for a term written into the agreement, with an extension or exit decision taken before it ends. Each augmented staff member reports to your manager for daily work, while HRBD handles the contract, the payroll and the statutory filings in Bangladesh. These boundaries keep the service distinct from building a permanent remote team or outsourcing a project.
Role-level: one brief, one role, one named person on an HRBD employment contract.
Defined term: a start date and an end date in the agreement, with extension or exit agreed before the end date.
Client-directed: your manager sets the daily work; HRBD administers the employment and the pay.

Which Companies Use Remote Staff Augmentation?

Three kinds of company use remote staff augmentation from HRBD. Each has a role to fill for a set period and no wish to become an employer in Bangladesh for that period. The cards below describe what each company receives from HRBD and where the engagement starts. All three sign the same service agreement and brief the same scoping call.
Companies with no Bangladesh entity, served by HRBD remote staff augmentation

Companies With No Entity

A company abroad that needs a Bangladesh-based person in one role without opening an entity. HRBD employs the person under the Bangladesh Labour Act 2006, runs the payroll and files the records each month. The company briefs the role, interviews the shortlist and directs the daily work from its own office.

Bangladesh entities adding fixed-term capacity through HRBD remote staff augmentation

Entities Adding Capacity

A Bangladesh entity, often foreign-owned, that needs extra hands for a closing, a launch or a backlog without adding permanent headcount. HRBD supplies the person for the agreed term and carries the employment administration, so the entity's own payroll and registers stay unchanged for the period.

Project teams with a delivery date adding remote staff through HRBD

Teams With a Delivery Date

A team with a delivery date and a skills gap in finance, administration or operations. HRBD matches a person to the brief, sets the term to the delivery window and handles the extension or exit at the end, so the project owner plans capacity against a fixed date and a named person from day one.

Is Staff Augmentation the Same as Outsourcing?

No. Staff augmentation adds a person to your team under your direction, while outsourcing hands a whole task to a supplier who manages the work. With HRBD, the augmented staff member sits inside your reporting line and uses your tools; HRBD holds the employment contract and pays the salary. A permanent remote group built through HRBD’s hire a remote team in Bangladesh service is open-ended and team-sized, and offshore staffing services from HRBD supply dedicated teams for ongoing work. The table sets the models side by side.

How Does a Staff Augmentation Engagement Run?

A staff augmentation engagement with HRBD runs in six steps, and your manager takes the decision at every step. The table shows what HRBD does and what you do at each stage. The numbered list beneath it is the same sequence in order, so a hiring manager can follow it from the first call to the term review.

Who Carries Employer Liability for Augmented Staff?

HRBD carries the employer liability for every augmented staff member because HRBD signs the employment contract. Section 5 of the Bangladesh Labour Act 2006 requires an employer to give each worker a letter of appointment, and HRBD issues that letter in its own name. HRBD pays the salary, deducts tax at source for the National Board of Revenue, keeps the statutory registers and answers for that employment. Your company signs a service agreement with HRBD, not an employment contract with the person. The three commitments below are written into every agreement.
Accountability for filings: HRBD compliance review of appointment letters, payslips and statutory filings

Accountability for Filings

A named HRBD compliance reviewer checks each appointment letter, payslip and statutory filing before it leaves HRBD. Errors caused by HRBD are corrected by HRBD and recorded in the monthly report to you, so your finance team sees the correction and the date.

Jurisdiction in Bangladesh: employment governed by Bangladesh law under HRBD

Jurisdiction in Bangladesh

The employment is governed by Bangladesh law and documented in Bangladesh. The service agreement names the governing law for your contract with HRBD, so both contracts are clear before day one and neither party has to argue jurisdiction after a dispute.

Confidentiality by contract: augmented staff sign confidentiality terms in the HRBD appointment letter

Confidentiality by Contract

Each augmented staff member signs confidentiality terms in the appointment letter that cover your systems, records and clients. Access is granted by you on day one and withdrawn by you on the last day, and HRBD never holds your credentials on the person's behalf.

What Roles Does HRBD Augment Remotely?

HRBD augments administrative, finance and back-office roles for companies outside and inside Bangladesh. Each engagement starts from your written brief for one role, and each role family below lists the work a person takes on from your team. The person works in your systems, in the hours agreed at the scoping call, and reports to the manager you name in the brief.

Office Admin Staff

Executive assistants, coordinators, data-entry and document-control staff who keep your calendars, records and correspondence in order. They work in your systems and in your hours, and they report to the manager you name in the brief. HRBD handles their contract, pay and statutory records.

Finance Ops Staff

Bookkeepers, accounts payable and receivable staff and reconciliation analysts who work inside your finance system. HRBD employs the person; your finance lead sets the close calendar, assigns the ledgers and reviews the output. Access to your systems is granted and withdrawn by you.

Back Office Staff

Order processing, customer records, HR administration and reporting roles that run behind your front line. Each person follows your written procedures, uses your tools and escalates through your team lead. HRBD stays outside the daily workflow and carries only the employment and payroll side.

Covered: one named person per role, employed by HRBD for the term written in the agreement.
Covered: the appointment letter, monthly payroll, tax deducted at source and statutory registers for that person.
Covered: headcount changes within the term, agreed in writing before the change takes effect.
Not covered: managing the work itself, the deliverables or the project plan; those stay with your manager.
Not covered: engaging the person as a contractor outside an HRBD employment contract.

Where Do Augmented Teams Find Guidance?

These references sit beside the staff augmentation service rather than inside it. Each one is an existing HRBD page that a hiring manager, finance lead or legal team can read before the scoping call. None of them is required before you enquire; they answer the questions that usually come up between the brief and the contract.

Bangladesh Labour Law Compliance Guide

HRBD’s guide to employer duties under the Bangladesh Labour Act 2006: appointment letters, working hours, leave, termination and the records an employer keeps. Read it to see what HRBD carries for each augmented staff member and what your own entity would carry without the service.

Employment Risk Assessment Service

A review of a role, a contract term or a notice period for Labour Act exposure before an offer is signed. Legal teams use it when a role sits close to the contractor line, or when a fixed term needs to be checked against notice and benefit rules.

PEO Onboarding and Integration Steps

The onboarding sequence HRBD runs for remote hires: company data, Labour Act 2006 paperwork, payroll enrolment and remote access for the new person. Augmented staff follow the same sequence, so a hiring manager can see each step before the start date.

Remote Staff Augmentation FAQ for Employers

These are direct answers to the questions hiring managers, finance leads and legal teams ask before a staff augmentation agreement with HRBD. The first sentence of each answer is the answer itself. Anything not covered here is settled at the scoping call, which fixes the role, the term and the reporting line before any search begins.

What is remote staff augmentation?

Remote staff augmentation is a staffing model in which a partner supplies a person with a specific skill to work inside your team, under your direction, for a set period. With HRBD, the person is based in Bangladesh, employed by HRBD, and briefed, directed and reviewed by your manager. It adds capacity without adding an employer relationship on your side.

Is this different from a remote team?

Staff augmentation fills one role for a defined term; hiring a remote team builds an open-ended group of people. Both run on HRBD employment contracts. The difference is scope and duration: a term-end review is built into every augmentation agreement, while a remote team continues until you change it.

Who employs the augmented staff member?

HRBD is the legal employer. HRBD signs the appointment letter, pays the salary, deducts tax at source and keeps the statutory registers in Bangladesh. Your company signs a service agreement with HRBD. The person is not on your payroll and is not your employee in Bangladesh.

Can our managers direct the daily work?

Yes. Your manager sets the tasks, the priorities, the working hours within the agreed schedule and the tools. The person joins your meetings and works in your systems. HRBD stays outside the daily work and handles only the employment, the pay and the compliance.

What happens when the term ends?

Before the end date, HRBD sends a term-end notice with three options: extend the engagement, convert the role into a permanent remote hire through HRBD, or close it. You choose, and HRBD issues the paperwork for that choice. Nothing extends by default.

Which roles can HRBD augment?

Administrative support, accounting and finance, and back-office operations roles. Each engagement starts from your written brief for one role, and HRBD matches the person to that brief rather than to a generic job title. If a brief falls outside these role families, HRBD says so at the scoping call rather than opening a search.

How does the process run?

It runs in six steps. 1. A scoping call fixes the brief. 2. HRBD shortlists candidates against the brief. 3. You interview in your time zone. 4. HRBD issues the appointment letter and enrols payroll. 5. The person starts under your direction. 6. HRBD sends the term review before the end date.

Do we need a Bangladesh entity?

No. Your company does not need a Bangladesh entity because HRBD is the employer of the augmented staff member. A company that already has a Bangladesh entity can use the service in the same way; the person remains on an HRBD contract for the term.

How is our confidential data protected?

Each appointment letter carries confidentiality terms covering your systems, records and clients, and those terms continue after the engagement ends. You control system access: you grant it on day one and withdraw it on the last day. HRBD does not access your systems through the augmented staff member.

Can we switch from another provider?

Yes, if the person agrees and the previous engagement has ended or is ending. HRBD checks the notice terms of the previous contract before setting a start date, then issues a new appointment letter, enrols the person in payroll and opens a new term.

How long does sourcing take?

It depends on the role and the brief, so HRBD gives a sourcing plan at the scoping call rather than a fixed promise. Common administrative and finance roles draw on candidates HRBD has already screened; specialised briefs take a fresh search. You see the shortlist as it forms.

What happens after we send an enquiry?

HRBD replies with a scoping call invitation. On the call, HRBD confirms the role, the term, the reporting line and the working hours, then sends a written service scope for your approval. The search starts only after you approve that scope.
